Day 10 - Multicultural Day in Munch, Germany

Today, we did:
  1. BMW tour, museum, and BMW World.
  2. Site of 1972 Summer Olympics
  3. Shopping
  4. Toured an outdoor market
  5. Then our favorite…An American Family in the English Gardens sitting at the Chinese Tower, in Munich, Germany.  We preceded this multi-cultural event by Jack having French Fries at lunch and then we had Mexican for dinner.
We capped it off with McFlurrys and a game of “Pounce” (multi-player solitaire) in the lobby of the hotel.
Now for the pics:
There was a motorcycle exhibition (basically the rider just went up and down the stairs on his dirt bike).  BMW owns Husqvarna motorcycle.

Pictures of the BMW Tour.  Obviously, we were not allowed to take pictures in the factory, but we went on a cool factory tour.  After 16 years at Flexware, my family finally has a little better idea of what I do.

This was on the way back from the Olympic village.  The large executive towers in the background were built before the 1972 Olympics.

Surfers in the water at the English Gardens.  You can go to YouTube if you want to see more.  Pretty cool.  I think we sat and watched them for 30 minutes or so.

At the Chinese Tower in the English Gardens…resting our “barking dogs.”  We walked a lot today.

We find it funny that they call the fries American Fries.  If you can read it, the McMenu is the combo meal.  That price of 6.89 is in Euros.  That is $8.46.  The prices here are a little higher than in the states (what you see in Euros…) and then the dollar is about .75 of the Euro, so you get hit twice as hard…  Not as economical as Romania, Hungary, and Czech Republic.

This was our allotment of chips with our order…reminds us that they really to everything bigger in the States.

We are headed to bed.  Tomorrow we are going to go back and swim at the Olympic pool in the afternoon/evening.  You can have memberships there and day passes.
We had a nice chat with Teo this evening over Skype.
